Inspirational Quotes On Soul And Inner Spirit

The word 'soul' usually has religious connotations and refers to the essence of a living being. In certain traditions, inanimate objects are also thought to have souls, while other traditions believe that human beings have immortal souls that continue to exist even after death. While there is reference to something like soul in almost all prominent religions to some extent, there is no scientific evidence of its existence. Yet, it is difficult for us human beings to accept that there is nothing after death, that we simply cease to exist, which might explain why so many people believe in the notion. However, in literature and popular culture, the word 'soul' is often used to mean something deeper than one's heart or mind without any spiritual connotation. Read through the below quotes by spiritual leaders, philosophers, writers and celebrities to see if they inspire some kind of soul-searching in you.
