Nuruddin Farah is an acclaimed Somali novelist. After being compelled to move out of Somalia he pursued his graduation in philosophy from a renowned university in India. He came up with his first short story in his mother tongue which was well-received. He then wrote in English and published his first novel titled ‘From a Crooked Rib’. In his next novel ‘A Naked Needle’, he described the interracial mindset and the post-revolutionary life in Somalia.
