180 Inspiring Quotes By Mahatma Gandhi That Will Make You Want To Change The World.
Once upon a time there was a boy who would keep to himself. While others chatted on their way to school and back, the shy kid would speak rarely. One day an inspection team arrived at the school to check on the quality of education being imparted at the school.
The inspector gave a small test to the students. They had to write the five spellings he dictated. All the boys were able to write the spellings correctly. But the shy boy found it difficult to write the fifth word. Noticing this, the teacher, who obviously wanted to create a good impression on the Inspector, signaled to him that he should ask his neighbor for help.
The boy however did not pay heed to his teacher as he believed cheating was wrong. While all the other students in the class aced the test, he failed to write the fifth spelling.
The teacher was furious at this and after the inspector left he reprimanded the boy saying, "I told you to copy from your neighbor, couldn't you even do that correctly?" Everyone mocked the boy and laughed at him.
However, the boy remained unaffected by all this as he believed that he had done the right thing by not copying the answers. He also felt that the teacher should not have asked him to cheat.
Do you know who this shy and righteous kid was? He was none other than Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Read on to find some of the inspiring quotes by the famous leader.
