Edward Jenner was an English surgeon who founded the first vaccine of the world - the vaccine for small pox. Known as the father of immunology,’ Jenner first used the vaccine in 1976. He was also the first person to identify the brood parasitism of the cuckoo. As the discoverer of small pox vaccine, Jenner helped save the lives of so many people. After his vaccine was successful, Edward was made the physician to King George IV and added as the member of the ‘Royal Society.’ He was also made the Mayor of Berkley for his wisdom and philanthropy. He also published a lot of work on vaccines, including ‘An Inquiry into the Causes and Effects of the Variolae Vaccinae’ (1798). He received many honors for his contribution to the world.
